Using magazine articles to sell your services

Whenever you’re trying to sell anything, you always want to have some sort of support. This support could come from statistical research, testimonials, newspapers or magazines. Buyers want to trust what you are saying is true.
Stefan Scholl used a recent magazine called “Where to Retire” in his blog post “Terrific Retirement Town” on why someone would want to retire to Petoskey Michigan. I actually grew up in Michigan, so I know that the things he’s writing about are true, but if you didn’t grow up there and you’re not familiar with the area, all you have to do is read what the magazine wrote about Petoskey.
Using this type of support in your marketing whether it be on a blog, a website, or traditional forms of advertising can be very powerful in getting people to trust you more quickly and move past their objections faster to get further along in the sales process.
The magazine might have laid a golden egg for Stefan, but other times you have to go out and find your own golden egg. That magazine only lists “America’s 100 best”, so if your location isn’t listed in there, go out and find another magazine or newspaper article that does say good things about your area and use that to help you sell.
