Because you’re mine, I walk the line

DamonOne of the newest ideas from a company called Walk Score gives a rating from zero to 100 on how accessible stores, restaurants, schools, parks and other destinations are within walking distance of the house.

With the people more concerned about oil conversation and high fuel prices, this just might make a difference in buyers purchasing habits of new homes. Walk Score has analyzed walkable neighborhoods all across the US by a number of different criteria.

Inman News had an article on the company and how they are improving their services for agents to use a “walk score” as marketing material with their clients.

As more clients look for housing locations that are more closer to the things they need, they will be looking more at the neighborhood in general and where everything is at. When they buy their new house, they’ll want to know that they can get to those places quickly on foot.
