RIS Media, one of the most popular real estate portals, had an excellent article about Online Marketing: How to Prospect Better Online.
In today’s connected world, there are still many agents who haven’t mastered online marketing, or branded themselves as experts online.
Having a profile page on your brokers website is not going to be enough. You have to have your own website, with your own unique information on it. If you can’t do it yourself, you have to pay someone to do it for you.
Having your own real estate website will:
1. Allow you to capture your own leads
2. Position yourself as an authority in your area
3. Allow potential clients to find you and seek you out
4. Allow potential clients to make a decision to use you as their agent
5. Gives you the opportunity to feature certain properties
With more people going online first to check out houses in their area, you want to make sure you are the agent that is found when they search.
