3 Ways To Capture More Email Addresses

October 13th, 2008 by Damon

DamonCapturing email addresses of your web site visitors is crucial to online success. An opt list will give you the ability to create loyal subscribers if you email them quality information they are looking for. It is always a good idea to ask them what they are most interested in before you send your first message.

1. Ask visitors to subscribe to your newsletter. Yes, just because you have a newsletter signup on your page doesn’t mean that people are going to sign up automatically. You have to ask them to sign up and let them know the benefits that they will receive.

2. Have them sign-up to get access to a free report. This report can be on local businesses in the area, best parks to take the kids, or a number of different things focused on your geographical area.

3. Offer a monthly newsletter on the latest events. People want to be kept up-to-date on things going around in their neighborhood. If you can give them a newsletter that has all of the local events, it’s something they can actually use. Better yet, make the design of the newsletter appealing so they can print it out and put it on their refrigerator (of course you would put your picture and contact info on the top of that newsletter).

Always stay in front!

I have never tried this kind of technique in internet marketing.. I always thought that gathering emails is considered spamming. But I guess I should give it a try. Thanks for this info..

I’ve taken notice to a lot of sites where the first bit of content on their page catches the users eye that asks the user to please sign up for my newsletter or feed. I think it works for I see it immediately on the page/blog I’m visiting. You have some great tips there! Thanks man!
