Know Your Audience When Marketing Online
November 10th, 2008 by DamonInternet marketing has becoming one of the most popular advertising options available. The Internet reaches a worldwide audience and is available 24 hours a day. For this reason more and more potential customers are turning to the Internet for a variety of reasons including researching agents and their services before making a decision on who to hire.
As more and more consumers turn to the Internet for these reasons, it is important for your real estate company to establish an online presence. This is so important because failure to do so may result in their competitors gaining an edge over them in competing for buyers and sellers.
While it is important for business to begin Internet marketing campaigns it is also important for these same businesses to realize basic advertising principles still exist and they cannot neglect these principles. Those who advertise online have to be aware of who their target audience is and how to reach this audience.
If you have a real estate niche in your area, you must make sure that your web presence reflects that. This way, you are targeting the most qualified prospect to your business. Your website must display the needs, wants, and desires of your audience and the way that your real estate company solves those problems.
One such example of a niche is “first time home buyers”. If you target these types of people, your website must display trust and authority in being able to assist these buyers. For this niche, a well crafted and thought out FAQ section will be the most valuable for the entire website. The first time home buyer has many questions that need to be answered. The easier you make it and answer their questions on your website, the easier it will be for you to overcome any objections that might be raised later on in the sales process.
Take the time to really understand your potential clients and answer as many questions as they would have on your website. This will make it easier on you and your potential client when you first sit down for a consultation.

It is truly crucial to know your audience! I also find this concept similar to the whole idea that “listening” is the most important sales tool a real estate agent can possess.

Targeting niche customers with easy to digest information that drives the issue in a clear way has helped us profoundly.
