4 Methods To Bring Traffic To Your Real Estate Website

November 13, 2008

1. There are the search engines.

Search engines are a great way to get traffic to your website. But you have to find out how to get good rankings. Getting listed into search engines and getting good rankings usually takes time and a lot of people don’t have the patience. Once you’ve built your website you want traffic and you want it now, which is understandable. If you have good content and patience search engines are always a good way to get unique visitors.

2. Search Engine Optimization

Once you have your website up, you want to be sure to optimize it so you get listed in the search engines for the keywords you want. Make sure to go through each of the pages on your site and place custom title tags, meta tags, and description tags for the keywords you are targeting. Once that is done, you must make sure your content contains the relevant keywords that you placed in your tags.

3. Pay Per Click

This is the easiest way to get traffic to your site, but also the most expensive. You can buy ads on the different search engines that will display when a potential customer searches for certain keywords. So, if you sell homes in Miami, you would target keywords like “Miami Real Estate” to get your ad displayed. The amount of money you bid on that keyword will determine how high on the page it is displayed.

4. Put your website address on all your marketing material

If you want people that you meet to visit your site, you have to put your website address on all your marketing material such as your business card, flyers, and other promo items. This way, when they get home and see your business card, they will know your website address without forgetting.

Great post! Thanks for this info. Our team has surely did a little of all of the above. Pay Per Click can get expensive however. Working to get your site higher in the natural rankings seems to be the key.
