Earlier, I used to work as a cold-calling agent for my real estate community. Initially, I had faced numerous problems in interacting with new prospects, but after gaining experience and learning the above mentioned points (which you have shared with us), it became quite easier to convince new prospects. Majority of people doesn’t like to listen to what you are trying to explain, but it is your talent, understanding and your charisma which will not allow the prospects to hang up the phone. It’s a brilliant work done as you have summarized the important points and made it quite simple to understand.

We all hate cold callers, even though we have to do it ourselves sometimes. The advice you give is valid and you can get sales from cold calling

Remember that people get a lot of "junk" calls. These are just like "junk" or "spam" email these days. Take advantage of this by learning from the ones that you get. Example - who has ever gotten an "important call" that is a machine asking you to wait on the line and the next available representative will be with you shortly"? HUH! I say in my mind to this call while hanging up "you called me so why do I have to be on hold"?

Make your cold call personal (meaning be real and listen) and get to the point quick. Do not be pushy.

This is a good outline, it will be interesting to see what you write on each topic you have listed.

I would say that one of the most easy things to forget when you start cold calling is to make sure that you get to the decision maker before you start giving your spill. That can waste a lot of time and be frustrating.
