You wouldn’t believe how many web sites don’t ask for the sale! After all the work agents put into their website content, describing the benefits of their services, and leading people through their sales process, they overlook one simple but very important “call to action”
“Click here to speak to an agent”
If you want people to take action on your site (request more info, speak to an agent, sign up for newsletter), you need to have a call to action that tells them exactly what you want them to do. This is a basic principle in Web Usability, you don’t want to make your potential customers think. Make their decisions for them.
Wikipedia’s defines general web usability as:
Web usability is an approach to make web sites easy to use for an end-user, without requiring her (or him) to undergo any specialized training. The user should be able to intuitively relate the actions he needs to perform on the web page, with other interactions he sees in the general domain of life e.g. press of a button leads to some action. The broad goal of usability can be:
1. Present the information to the user in a clear and concise way.
2. To give the correct choices to the users, in a very obvious way.
3. To remove any ambiguity regarding the consequences of an action e.g. clicking on delete/remove/purchase.
4. Put the most important thing in the right place on a web page or a web application.
Asking for the sale is simple, and the impact it can have on your real estate business is huge. By adding a simple call to action, you make it easy for your visitors to understand what they’re supposed to do. And once they know they’re supposed to request something from you, they will — and your leads will skyrocket!
