The Top Three Realtor Marketing Tools That Will Catapult Your Business

May 12, 2009

Seems like things change in the world of marketing everyday. First, there was the internet, then email marketing, then personal website, then YouTube. Each day the internet improves upon what it is able to offer you for your marketing efforts.

Understanding how you, as a real estate professional, can make use of these Realtor Marketing Tools is vital. Here are the Top 3 tools I would recommend that you learn right away:

1. LinkedIn and Facebook: These social networking sites are not just for high school kids anymore. These are places where you can network and even reconnect with people from your past to let them know you are in the real estate business. Instead of the hard sell, however, you must lightly remind people of your experience in the real estate industry and how you can help them.

2. Twitter: Do you know what Twitter is? Do you understand how it can help you in your business? Twitter is basically an internet site where you have 140 characters to type what you are doing right now. As a Realtor, you do not want to type things like I am eating a sandwich. You want to build a list of followers who will be interested in your updates. You would write things like I just listed a great new 4BR house in Maysville. Pics are on my website! or I have a referral to send to Florida. Any great agents wanna talk about it? You want to be conversational, but not too personal about your own life. There are some great resources available below about how to build a HUGE Twitter following.

3. Blogging: You simply MUST have a blog and keep it up to date. Blogging is a great way to keep your prospects, clients and others updated on your new listings and business. Check out Blogger and WordPress to create your free blog today. It only takes a few minutes!

Step by step instructions on how to get every REO and Foreclosure listing in your marketplace. Do you understand how to list short sales? If not, this VIDEO course is perfect! Get there fast because it will not be available forever!

It does take a lot of time to build a following on Twitter or Facebook. But just like everything time and hard work will get you there.

Facebook is one of my favorite social networking sites. There is a lot of potential for marketing there.
