These are great techniques, but isn't the time coming where companies consolidate all the employee's in "middleman" positions?

Think about Zillow.com; there is no real estate agent dragging you around all day to houses that you probably won't buy, and you're wasting money doing that. Zillow is kind of like craigslist - they're both killing the newspaper industry but people love them because the users are given so much responsibility.

Unfortunately no one really does know the truth about starting in real estate until you get started. It is a demanding job and you have to be able to talk (sell) people. If you don't go out and get the business you will be like 90% of other agents and only have a few deals a year. I have found the skills, knowledge, and support through the Mike Ferry Organization.

The internet provides a lot of great marketing options.....be sure to focus on things that other real estate firms are overlooking right now.

These include......Local Search Marketing, Social Media Interaction (with clients), and building blog readers instead of building more newsletters.
