A growing number of real estate agents and individuals are posting streaming videos to attract property buyers online. Since YouTube is the third most popular website in the world, posting a video on YouTube can only help the chances of a given property getting sold quickly.
It does make sense to spend time planning the video in advance. Although some spontaneous videos are popular on YouTube, you want this one to look good and sound good, be enjoyed by the viewer, and not waste the viewers time. Have you ever seen a video shot in a room that had trash lying around or someone’s clothes lying helter-skelter? Don’t do that. Make sure all backgrounds are pristine, and pay attention to aesthetics.
The most important factor in a quality photographic experience is lighting. I turn on all interior lights even on sunny days, to make everything look brighter. Don’t make one of those videos where the filmer walks around moving the camera all the time. When I see those I get big headaches. You don’t want that. Use a tripod if you can.
Consider a series of short videos, each covering a different part of the house and property. Personally I most enjoy a 60 second video. That would be long enough to show one or two rooms, or an entire kitchen area. If you make one long video tour, don’t go too long. Five minutes would probably be too long in most cases. Remember your goal: to pique their interest and motivate them to contact you. So you don’t have to show everything. Showing too much hurts more than it helps.
Remember that you can upload your video to about ten or fifteen video sharing sites other than YouTube. And don’t forget Facebook where your friends may find the videos fun and interesting. All in all, we know that videos of your home will be seen if you make them available. The more people see them the more likely you are to find a buyer.
So be sure to include online videos as part of your internet marketing strategy and marketing plan for your home.

While I come from a different area of marketing I think it is always useful to check out other markets to see what they have to say(especially Real Estate).
And post is a gold mine waiting to happen in the area I am from “Utah”. They have no video marketing for there real estate sales. How great would it be instead of clicking on 3 pictures and deciding if you want to pursue the house, would it be to get somebody walking as they would with you through the house in a video guided tour. I also learned a few new trick for my market also, So Thank You Very Much!!
